Midori + Mark | Hidden Villa Wedding | Palo Alto

Mark and Midori’s wedding was a very “green” event in every way. To start, they asked all the guests to wear green to the wedding because it represents their dedication to sustainable living and appreciation for nature, and is also what the name Midori means in Japanese. Midori’s family flew in from Japan for the wedding and brought the traditional kimono that Midori wore that has been passed down for many generations. The wedding was held at the Duveneck House at Hidden Villa, which is an organic farm in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. All of the amazingly delicious food was provided by the catering company Feel Good Foods, Inc., which uses seasonal and organic food from local farmers. It was a really sweet day, and I have to admit that I teared up (as did everyone else) when Mark was saying his vows to Midori, the amount of love and respect they have for each other is a beautiful thing to witness.
