Nicci is a fun-loving South African who loves Prada. Matt is a frisbee-playing optimist who loves Dunkin Donuts. Nicci likes to say “we’re like a square peg in a round hole,” and Matt likes to say “sometimes it takes a square peg to fit in a round hole.” So in other words, they fit together perfectly. Their wedding was fun from start to finish… a lovely garden setting in Mission Viejo with an outdoor cocktail hour and a reception in a beautiful hall with floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of light. The love vibes were flowing and the dance floor stayed packed all night. And to top it all off, they had ice cream sandwiches for dessert! You can watch their slideshow here.

Shane and Jesse are a beautiful example of destiny. The two of them went to the same high school in Santa Fe, New Mexico and only knew each other socially during those years, however all that changed when they reconnected at a Santa Fe Prep alumni party in 2008. At the time, Jesse was finishing up his last year of medical school in New York, and Shane was working for Adobe in California. They started a long distance relationship and then fate stepped in once again and allowed for Jesse to move to Los Angeles for his residency at UCLA. The rest, as they say, is history and I can hardly wait for their wedding in Santa Fe later this month!

Shannon and Diego’s wedding at the beautiful Hawkspoint Ranch in Somis was a perfect day. I felt like I was seeing in technicolor with the bright yellow accents on everything from the table decoration to Shannon’s shoes, and the contrast of the brilliant blue sky and ocean which the private estate overlooks. Diego was dapper in his tuxedo and yellow tie, as always with a twinkle in his eye, and Shannon looked gorgeous and elegant, reminiscent of a 1920’s movie star. It was a nice blending of two cultures full of friends, love and laughter. Sarah and Jon met when they went to dinner with mutual friends at Lala’s on Melrose in the Spring of 2004, and Jon asked Sarah out on a date over AOL Instant Messenger a few days later. Eight years later, they celebrated their marriage at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, CA. Their wedding day represented the blending of their family traditions and customs, and the ceremony itself was performed by their close friend who was with them on the day they met. One of the highlights from the night was the hilarious yet touching tuba rendition of ‘All You Need Is Love’ that Sarah’s sister did in honor of one of their favorite movies “Love Actually”. That was quite an experience, as was the moment at the end of the night when Sarah and Jon, fully clothed, spontaneously jumped into the pool at The London! They have a fun lust for life that’s contagious, and I wish them both long, happy lives together… their attitudes make the world a better place! :) The slideshow can be seen here.
