Thanh-Tam and Hans were New York coworkers who fell in love. After six years of dating that included graduate school and occasionally living on separate continents, they decided to get married and spend the rest of their lives together. As supporters of marriage equality, both Thanh-Tam and Hans believe that all loving couples deserve the same legal rights, benefits, and respect that civil marriage bestows. In honor of that sentiment, Thanh-Tam elected to not do the traditional bouquet toss and instead chose to give the bouquet to a close friend who isn’t allowed the freedom to marry. This progressive gesture really touched everyone who was there to witness it. There slideshow can be seen here.

I love it!
