Karla and Thondup got engaged in a tent at the base camp of Mount Rainier, so it was only fitting that their wedding should take place in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico. Both are outdoor enthusiasts who are not only great athletes, but also environmentalists committed to sustainable living. Karla decided to throw a frisbee instead of flowers for the bouquet toss, and because most of her friends are awesome ultimate frisbee players, the competition for who would catch the disc was fierce! Thondup is originally from Tibet and is into mountaineering, so for the garter toss he threw a climbing sling. The whole day was super fun and with the help of all their friends and family, Karla and Thondup came through with a celebration that was as unique as they are themselves!
